Research activity

The main activity of the Lab of Electrical Properties of Semiconductors is photoelectrical spectroscopy:
  • Contact processing of a metal – semiconductor junctions
  • A fundamental characterization of semiconducting junctions: current-voltage (I-V), capacitance – voltage (C-V), photoelectrical measurements (PV)
  • Deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) and optical deep level transient spectroscopy (ODLTS)
  • Laplace DLTS
  • Conductivity (PC) and capacitance phototransients
  • Thermally stimulated capacitance (TSCAP)
The subject of the studies are photoelectrical properties of the II-VI and III-V based semiconducting compounds, mixed crystals and glasses:
  • CdTe quantum dots embedded in ZnTe matrix,
  • semiconductor heterostructures based on GaN: nanorods, LED, Schottky junction,
  • photovoltaic structures and photodiodes based on ZnO,
  • defects in CdTe/ZnTe solar cells,
  • light conversion in germanium, tellurium and sillicon glasses.
